It was an exciting time to be opening a law practice in Rutherford County, Tennessee, in the early 1980’s. Nissan had just opened its doors in Smyrna, and the entire face of Rutherford County was destined to change dramatically. New people moved in, new jobs were created, new businesses opened their doors, and opportunities abounded for everyone. Real estate sales and new home construction skyrocketed. Smyrna grew quickly, and Murfreesboro was converted from a sleepy little suburb of Nashville to a vital and energetic city all its own.
That transformation continues today even in the face of an economic downturn, and we at Blankenship & Blankenship, PLLC, are prepared now, as then, to help our clients find the opportunities that are available to them and to protect their rights and inform them of their responsibilities as they pursue these opportunities. Even now, as then, good, solid legal advice is an invaluable asset to any individual or business trying to negotiate these uncharted waters. Opportunities still abound, and we see it as our job to help our clients find, appreciate and understand the opportunities that are available to them while ensuring that they have met all their legal obligations and requirements.
And when our clients’ rights have been thwarted or their opportunities challenged, we see it as our legal duty to help set things right again. If at all possible, we will help set things right without the necessity of conflict and litigation. We will use all our negotiating skills and our 30 years of experience to help resolve conflict amicably between the parties because as a general rule, that is in the best interests of everyone involved. But where litigation is necessary, our lawyers are prepared, experienced and ready to work hard to protect our clients’ rights.
John Blankenship’s favorite quote is as follows:
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence....Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
~ Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933)
American statesman (30th US president: 1923-9)
And our firm practices this philosophy. We will represent our clients persistently and with determination until their legal matters have been resolved, and we will do everything in our power to see that those matters have been resolved to the satisfaction of our clients. We of course can make no guarantees as to outcome—there can be no guarantees where other people, their points of view, judges and juries are involved—but we can guarantee that we will represent you to the very best of our ability, putting our education, our experience and our determination to work for you.
